Things to Do in Coconut Creek This Fall: Your 2026 Calendar

October 8, 2026

Coconut Creek has a free event on most Saturdays between now and Thanksgiving, and most of them are run by the city or a local club. ArtsFest opens the run on Oct. 10. The Hometown Market follows on Oct. 17, Nov. 7 and Nov. 21. The Women's Club of Coconut Creek fills Nov. 14. Before that, Movie in the Graveyard gives Sabal Pines Park a free Friday night on Oct. 30. The first ticket you're likely to buy this season comes in mid-November, at the Tradewinds Park lights.

That changes how you plan. Most fall weekends here start with "which free thing is on this Saturday," and the Promenade at Coconut Creek fills the gaps around it.

The city's calendar sets the pace

The season opens at the Coconut Creek Community Center, 1100 Lyons Road. ArtsFest runs there from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, with craft booths, food trucks, live music and kids' activities. Admission is free. The Parks and Recreation Department puts on the festival with the city's Multicultural Circle, and each year it features a different culture. Last year's ArtsFest celebrated Colombia, Peru and Venezuela, with costumed folk dancers and hands-on craft tables. This year's theme is the USA.

The next Saturday belongs to the Hometown Market. The city runs it every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Township Plaza, by Veterans Park on the southeast corner of Lyons and Sample roads. The Oct. 3 market has already passed, so the remaining fall dates are Oct. 17, Nov. 7 and Nov. 21. It's free to shop and runs rain or shine.

The city's vendor list for the season reads like a short local directory:

  • Produce and plants: 44 Produce, Allyson's Gardenland
  • Sweets and baked goods: ASKA Sweets, Mimi's Cookiez
  • Prepared food: Baba Jays, King of Hummus, Salsa Y Sabor
  • Crafts and handmade goods: Golden Grass Bio Jewelry, RD Stitches
  • For the dog at home: Oh Biscuits Barkery!

The city is also looking for local musicians, performers and artists to volunteer on select market dates, but it hasn't published a lineup yet. The market keeps going after fall, with dates on Dec. 5 and 19, Jan. 16, and Feb. 6 and 20. That makes it the longest-running thread on the city's calendar this season.

Oct. 24 is the Promenade's big day

The free city events take up most fall Saturdays, which is why Saturday, Oct. 24 stands out. It's the day the Promenade at Coconut Creek fills most of its own calendar.

At 11 a.m., Pups & Pumpkins starts at World of Beer, with dog treats, music, games and beer until 3 p.m. An hour after that wraps, the family Halloween Dance Party runs from 4 to 6 p.m. in the space between Ethos Greek Bistro and the storefront set aside for Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza. All month, World of Beer is also running "A Very Spooky Pop-Up Bar," with themed décor, cocktails and seasonal food specials through Oct. 31.

The Promenade also hosts a monthly Classic Car Show, but its own pages give two different dates for October's, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31. Check with the center before you plan around it. November's date is clear, Saturday, Nov. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the north parking garage under the mural.

Where the dog can go

If you'd like to bring your dog along, the rules change from one event to the next.

ArtsFest asks visitors to leave pets at home. Movie in the Graveyard allows blankets, chairs and coolers but not pets. Pups & Pumpkins on Oct. 24 is the one fall event here built around dogs. The city hasn't posted a pet policy for the Hometown Market this season. Last season's vendor application set aside one Saturday in January as "Bring Your Pet Day," so call the city's market line at 954-545-6682 before bringing a leash.

Halloween lands on a Friday at Sabal Pines Park

The city's Halloween event takes place the night before Halloween. Movie in the Graveyard is on Friday, Oct. 30, at Sabal Pines Park, 5005 NW 39th Ave. Trunk or Treat and the Spooky Trail open at 6 p.m. and run until 9 p.m., and Disney's "Coco" starts at 7 p.m. There are no tickets and no registration. Food trucks are expected, and kids can make crafts for free. The city's events line is 954-956-1580.

Sabal Pines Park is also the setting for the Women's Club of Coconut Creek's Fall Harvest Festival handicraft fair, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, from 2 to 6 p.m. Coconut Creek Talk reported in late September that the club was offering more than 100 vendor spaces. Between those two events comes the city's Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to noon.

What's new at the Promenade between events

Two businesses opened at the Promenade in recent weeks. Warby Parker opened on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 4425 Lyons Road, Suite F111, and offers eye exams along with glasses. RISE Modern Wellness held its public grand opening in September. It offers cryotherapy, infrared sauna, red-light therapy and IV treatments at 4455 Lyons Road, Suite 101.

Crema Gourmet has been open at 4449 Lyons Road since June 13, serving all-day breakfast, coffee, bowls, salads and sandwiches. It's an easy morning stop on a market Saturday. Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza is still listed as coming soon at 4437 Lyons Road, Suite 108, with no opening date announced.

The paid season starts at Tradewinds Park

The Holiday Fantasy of Lights, at Tradewinds Park's north entrance at 3600 W. Sample Road, is in its 32nd year. The organizer says it started as South Florida's first holiday-light drive-through and promises new displays by Brandano Displays alongside returning favorites. The lights run on three different formats, and the walk-through and bike nights come before the drive-through opens.

Night Date Hours Price
Stroll Through the Lights Friday, Nov. 13 6 to 9 p.m. $15 per person plus fees, under 5 free
Bike Through the Lights Sunday, Nov. 15 6 to 9 p.m. $12 per bike plus fees
Drive-through Nightly, Nov. 21 to Jan. 2 6 to 10 p.m. Per-car price not yet posted

Parking is free on the stroll and bike nights. Drive-through tickets are expected to go on sale in November, online or at the entrance. The drive-through opens on Saturday, Nov. 21, the same day as a Hometown Market. You can shop at Township Plaza in the morning and drive the lights that night, with both stops on Sample Road.
